How We Do It
Only Ground Truth™ clients have access to timely, accurate information that comes directly from the mobile network. Ground Truth uses the most reliable method to measure Mobile Internet usage: the analysis of network-based data from carriers and other infrastructure providers. The Ground Truth reports are created using True View™, a patent-pending methodology to measure Mobile Internet usage.
This data comes from every data-enabled device on the network. The resulting data measures Mobile Internet activity from any device, on any network, regardless of whether that activity is browser or application based.
Data collection and processing have been engineered to protect partner anonymity and consumer privacy. Specifically:
- All personally identifiable information (PII) and customer proprietary network information (CPNI) are removed from the data before Ground Truth processing and storage, so that it is not possible for Ground Truth to identify users.
- The metrics and benchmarks Ground Truth generates are aggregated measurements of the total number of subscribers visiting a web site or other aggregate measured actions. This approach results in reports that illuminate aggregate overall usage.
Ground Truth aggregates data that it receives in non-personally identifying form from multiple data partners and maintains a strict policy to keep all data partners information confidential. Our partners have access to their own data, not the data of other providers.
