GroundTruth’s Efforts to Prepare for the Forthcoming GDPR.
What is GDPR?
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a legal framework that sets guidelines for the collection and processing of personal information of individuals within the European Union (EU), and comes into force on 25th May 2018.
GDPR is incredibly important to all players in our industry and companies should be taking the appropriate steps to ensure they are prepared for when GDPR comes into force on 25th May. The trust our clients and partners have in GroundTruth is absolutely fundamental to our core values, and indeed our business, therefore GroundTruth has been undertaking a number of steps to prepare and ensure our own complicity for when GDPR comes into force.
GroundTruth is an active member of the IAB Tech Lab GDPR working group, the IAB Tech Lab GDPR mobile sub group, and the IAB UK board. These groups work with the industry to define the technical specifications for a Consent Management Platform operating under the Framework, and how the consent string will be transported to parties via open real-time bidding spec.
