A bit about you

You will:

  • Proactively work to develop the skills and behaviors of each team member, coaching and mentoring them toward success in their tasks and careers
  • Promote transparency regarding the team’s activities across the organization through documentation, structured processes, and effective communications
  • Support employees by having regular 1:1 conversations, providing feedback, planning for and conducting quarterly reviews, scheduling time-off, facilitating training, providing recognition, and managing any personal or performance issues
  • Work with Applications Engineering and Site Reliability Engineering to collaborate on our monitoring and alerting strategy
  • Create run-books for issue resolution from conversations with engineering and from knowledge gained in handling prior incidents
  • Build content-rich dashboards for system and business health with thresholds and alerts
  • Respond to and effectively resolve system, application, and customer incidents
  • Providing timely communication regarding incidents, their status, impact, resolution, and causal analysis
  • Lead and participate in incident retrospectives to improve our IcM practices
  • Produce detailed written incident reports for business stakeholders and leadership executives

You are:

  • A self-starter who can operate with minimal supervision

You have: 

  • 6+ years professional experience in Software Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, Operations Engineering, or Network Operations
  • 2+ years of professional experience directly managing engineers
  • Bachelor (4 year) degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, or related field
  • Proven experience supporting production software
  • Knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure such as S3, EC2, ELB, Route 53, 
  • Experience with RDBMS such as MySQL, PostGres, Sql Server, Oracle, RDS, or Aurora

You may:

  • Have related industry experience in ad tech or marketing
  • Have a masters, post-graduate, or doctorate in a related field
  • Have an accredited certificate as AWS Architect, Developer, or DevOps Engineer
