Director of Programmatic – WeatherBug

A bit about you

We’re looking for proven leader that can grow our Programmatic business and continue our path of innovation in the field.  This is a key role in our company. You will be responsible for developing our roadmap and driving our strategy. We are looking for a candidate who can collaborate across teams internally and with third party partners, understand new ideas and challenges quickly, communicate new concepts effectively, and be strategic in your decisions.

You will:

  • Need to understand complex systems of header bidding, including unified auctions
  • Must have strong data skills to analyze the performance of our tech stack, headers, and partners.
  • Be able to propose a detailed roadmap for the upcoming year including strategies for addressability, first party data, ad tech stack, partners, etc.
  • Be able to articulate industry wide issues and initiate a strategy for WeatherBug
  • Need to be able to problem solve a wide variety of issues
  • Initiate partnerships with demand partners, SSP’s DSP’s, headers, and many tech providers, build those relationships, and continually evaluate partnerships
  • Work in conjunction with direct team, adops, customer service, engineering, and teams across WeatherBug and GroundTruth
  • Train and develop skills across the sales organization in selling Programmatically
  • Represent the organization in public forums as a key leader for Programmatic, as appropriate submitting teamwork for industry wide awards and recognition

You have

  • 10+ years of experience in media, preferable mobile in-app, and 5+ years of programmatic management experience.
  • A motived self-starter who is comfortable working in a home office and can prioritize their time.
  • Knowledge and experience of media and publishing landscape is required
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, in person zoom, and over the phone.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, an attention to detail, and an appreciation of deadlines and goals.

The salary range for this position will be USD $125,000 – $150,000.  The base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.  Our compensation package also includes a comprehensive benefits platform offering and a commission plan.
