Sales Account Executive

Role and Responsibilities:

Business development

  • Drive sales and revenue with targeted agencies and advertisers in the UK
  • Sales presentations, varying from one-on-one meetings to large groups, both advertisers and agencies
  • Evangelising the power of location from strategic and executional perspectives and with clients of all levels of seniority
  • Prospecting, research, calling and meeting new and current clients
  • Gain understanding of client business objectives, communications strategies and KPI’s.
  • Preparing and delivering responses to client briefs that articulate the role for location in the context of a clients’ business objectives and communication strategy
  • Providing market intelligence and understanding industry and market trends
  • Deriving client-centric insights from GroundTruth location data / other sources and help clients understand how they could act upon them
  • Negotiating & closing deals
  • Entertaining clients


  • Working with Account Managers to create & revise proposals, managing campaigns from concept to completion, provide full post campaign analysis 
  • Creating and processing all necessary client facing & internal paperwork / administrative requirements with extreme accuracy (including use of Salesforce)
  • Ensuring that other departments are on-track with deliverables and hitting/exceeding client expectations
  • Contribute to troubleshooting discussions with line manager and other departments
  • Work to resolve any customer issues and concerns and make recommendations for optimisation and future campaigns.


  • Build solid relationships with agencies and brands directly at all levels, typically up to Account Director level


  • Forecasting, budgeting and regular reporting back to managers
  • Submit accurate, timely pipeline reports on a weekly basis
  • Regular monitoring of spend vs targets by brand and agency
  • Ensure T&E expenditure remains within budget



  • Experience of one or more of the following:
    • Client direct sales
    • Comms planning within a media agency
    • Mobile advertising ecosystem
    • RTB/programmatic buying
  • Experience managing key accounts and negotiating contracts
  • Solid understanding of the digital media/tech ecosystem
  • Experience of RTB/Programmatic Buying would be an advantage
  • Excellent contacts with media agencies up to and including Account Director level
