Why GroundTruth is One of Ad Age’s Best Places to Work

Though COVID-19 has fundamentally changed the way we all work, the work goes on. And when GroundTruth was recently named one of Ad Age’s 2021 Best Places to Work, a list highlighting companies that have managed to get “the job done in a year of pandemic, recession and social change,” we couldn’t have been prouder.

It’s an honor we don’t take lightly. We’ve made it a priority to provide our teams with competitive benefits and an employee-driven culture. From everyday perks to life-changing opportunities, we focus on creating an environment that not only fosters growth but also promotes personal and career satisfaction.

So what makes us one of the best places to work? Here’s a look at what you can expect when you join GroundTruth.

How Benefits Help You Stay Grounded

At GroundTruth, we want our employees to be comfortable with their benefits so they can focus on doing the work they love. Our active regular full-time employees who work a minimum of 30 hours per week are eligible for medical, dental, and vision (which extend to eligible dependents), life insurance, short term and long term disability coverages, and much more. We encourage our employees to take full advantage of all available benefits, which we offer at little to no cost. We even match their 401Ks.

Health and Wellness for All

How important is wellness to overall employee health and happiness? We think it’s critical. As such, we provide our teams with a monthly Grounded Wellness reimbursement that can be used toward programs that range from exercise to nutrition and stress management.

We offer employees the opportunity to participate in team fitness challenges, enroll in medically-supervised programs, find a coach or guide for anything from weight loss to back pain, join weekly virtual meditation sessions, and even explore prenatal and well-baby programs if they’re growing their families. To help our team members strike that much-needed work/life balance, we also offer paid family leave to eligible employees, and encourage them to leverage our flexible time-off policy and calendar of holidays.

And while, like all companies, we’ve had to readjust due to the pandemic and remote work, we still offer catered lunch and snack options when employees are in the office. We even provide virtual lunch events to help them refuel and recharge when they’re working from home.

Culture and Community Count

Of course, loving where you work is about more than just benefits; it’s also about community and culture. At GroundTruth, we make leading and inspiring women a priority through our Women@GroundTruth networking, mentorship, and professional development program.

We value and welcome diversity in the workplace, and are committed to creating and maintaining an environment that promotes inclusion, equality, and fairness. You’ll find that our employee-led DEIB (diversity, equality, inclusion, and belonging) committee was designed to shape the framework for our organization’s overall DEIB strategy, while also bridging the gap between employees and senior leadership teams.

Meanwhile, our leadership and People Operations (POPs) teams work hard to help our employees stay connected even while they’re working from home. Virtual cookie baking parties and cross-departmental one-on-one coffee chats can work wonders for preserving team bonds, as can Slack channels dedicated to everything from parenting to pets. When it comes to social corporate responsibility, we’ve got GroundTruth Impact, an employee-driven social good initiative that’s all about creating sustainable change, giving back to local and global communities, and leveling the playing field for professionals.

You can bet we’re already thinking about the next big initiative that will benefit our employees and ensure we remain a Best Place to Work. In the meantime, won’t you join us?
