Location-based Marketing

What is Location-based Marketing?

Location-based marketing (also known as geotargeting marketing, geolocation marketing, proximity-based marketing, and hyper-local marketing) is the act of displaying content to a mobile user based on locations they are in or have visited in the past. For example, if a user visits a car dealership, the dealership could target the user with an ad or promotion at a future point in time to try and close the sale. This could be in the form of either geotargeting or geofencing.
